the worldbank talk in school today was totally interesting :D i thought it was going to be yawnomgwthisthis boring, but it was surprisingly informative for that short 1.5 hour duration.
did you know that a cow in europe earns twice what a farmer in africa makes? that's really sad. europe provides its farms with such large agricultural subsidies that cows get US$2.62 a day, but the average farmer in africa only earns US$1. that's really sad.
PEOPLE, not numbers and statistics.
CREATING OPPORTUNITIES, not punishing achievement.
building UNDERSTANDING, not walls.
not "them", but "US".
